Samsung plan market domination
Samsung plan market domination
17 April 2009
Samsung have boldly announced their ambition to become top dog in the large format display (LFD) and projector markets in the next few years.
Following success with flat-screen TVs and mobile phones, Samsung launched a number of never-before-seen (in the UK) LFDs at the recent Screen Expo. The new product lines appear to be suited to a variety of industries and business uses, giving Samsung a lot of scope for expanding its market presence in a plethora of sectors.
In line with their goal to become one of the top projector brands in the next three years, the company has also announced the launch of eight new projectors, as well as a plan to launch nine more by the end of 2009.
Speaking of Samsung's foray into hitherto unchartered territory, their general manager for their UK display division, Dominic Webb, said, 'We
have an exceptional team on board and a product range which is our
strongest yet. Both of these, I believe, can help us to make this goal
a reality.'
